Football, or simply soccer as many North American still like to call it, being undeniably one of the most popular sports in the World, naturally also draws a lot of media interest and generates revenues like few other in the business. Following the end of the 2012-2013 football season in Europe, Deloitte didn’t lose much time to start working in their yearly football financial performance report, which they’ve named as “Football Money League 2014“.

It’s beyond any doubt one the most reliable financial report in this area and it allows us not only to have an idea of the sort of incomes that the top football clubs are capable of generating, but also to rank them and know exactly which clubs are becoming more rich these days.

Real Madrid and Barcelona remain on the top two spots of the standings for the 5th year in a row, while the Merengues complete a 9-year streak being the richest football club in the World.

The revenues in the reports below account for incoming cash flows from ticket sales, TV rights, advertising agreements, sponsorship deals and merchandising sales.
