We are proud to announce that the round 1 of the ModelOff 2013 contest (www.modeloff.com) will start next Saturday (October 26, 2013).
So what exactly is “ModelOff“, right? It’s a fun, innovative and professional competition, thought and designed for professionals and students to develop and test their own financial modeling skills against their colleagues and friends, as well as against other top modelers from all around the World.
FinanceNews24.com and ModelOff have engaged into a strategical partnership earlier this year and we’re more than happy to take this opportunity to help granting this event with a bit more exposure. These are definitely challenging times and whether you’re thinking about stepping in into this contest just for the fun of it, or simply because you’ve been eagerly waiting for a chance to showcase your talent alongside with your financial knowledge and modeling skills, ModelOff is exactly what you’ve been looking for.
The event will count with the participation of people coming from over than 100 countries, who will then progress through two online qualification rounds. All roads will lead to New York, as in December the “Live Finals Event” will be held precisely at the “Big Apple“. So don’t lose any more time, since the first round starts right this weekend. The finals will gather a total of 16 competitors and the lucky winner will cash-in the exact sum of $30,000 USD dollars.
As for last year’s edition of ModelOff, the final prize went to a 25-year old senior analyst from PwC (Price Waterhouse and Coopers), named Alex Gordon. He graduated a few years ago at the Victoria University of Wellington and he managed to get the better of 2,000 other competitors in order to claim the first prize in the New York finals. Alex will be competing in this year’s edition as well, as he looks to defend his World Championship title. Let’s hope he can face a serious challenge in the months ahead.
